The Preferred Banker role is a sales and support hybrid. You are the deposit expert for the Relationship ManagersA? client base in addition to being responsible for your own self:sourced sales goals. This includes sales presentations, cash management expertise, account opening, compliance and documentation, and transitioning the client to First Republic. The Preferred Banker will be responsible for assisting the Relationship Managers in developing and maintaining clients by selling a full range of FRBA?s products and services as well as developing a personal portfolio of business. You are expected to maintain a professional relationship to encourage additional business from existing clients in addition to obtaining referral business. You will provide ongoing excellent customer service using ingenuity to solve problems or enhance the banking relationship. Thorough knowledge of banking operations is required.Outside business development calls with Relationship ManagersNew business development calls for self:sourced portfolioCash Management presentations and demonstrationsDetailed analysis and comparison of current banking relationshipOpening new accountsTransitioning the client over to the Bank, ensuring a smooth transition.Responsible for obtaining all required documentationProvide on:going execllent customer service including hand:holding the top 10 of the RMA?s client base.Maintain and deepen existing customer relationships increasing current products per clientThorough knowledge of existing bank products and keeping up to date with new products and servicesPerform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti:money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: College degreeMinimum 3 years experience in private bankingExisting client portfolio desired Physical Requirements: Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
