Stable and prosperous global investment management firm is searching for an Administrative Assistant to provide support to a recently promoted Portfolio Manager. Our client’s office is located in San Francisco’s Financial District, and is accessible by BART, Muni, and other public transportation around the city. Recognized for their success in financial services both domestically and abroad, this firm believes in investing in its employee’s professional growth and development. As a “flat” organization, our client prides themselves on avoiding hierarchy in the workplace and instead creating a culture of inclusion, collaboration and teamwork. Turnover is almost unheard of on the administrative team.
The ideal Administrative Assistant will be able to multi-task without compromising attention to detail, handle multiple conflicting priorities, and display a sense of urgency with grace. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will introduce the opportunity to interact with investors and external companies’ CEOs on a daily basis. Although our client does not need a seasoned administrative veteran, two to three years working in a corporate setting or other financial services firm is a huge plus. Our client prides themselves on their willingness to train and develop the right people, given a strong work ethic, a good attitude, and a notable educational background. This is an incredible opportunity to learn from the best in the business, and partner with those who are engaging in innovative financial services strategies across the world.
This role will require utilization of organizational and communication skills to manage logistics including coordinating domestic and international travel, managing an ever changing calendar with international time zones, generating reports, processing of business expense reports, conducting research on market trends, and ad hoc projects. Given proven success in the Administrative Assistant role, this person will be groomed for higher-level administrative roles such as Executive Assistant, with the potential to step into event planning, investor relations and/or marketing.

2-3 years of administrative & support experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite)

The capacity to independently see a project through from start to finish
The ability to reprioritize at a moment's notice and to assume additional responsibilities based on the firm's changing needs
