Job Summary
The School of Education (SOE) seeks a Student Assistant pursuing a degree in education or relevant field to support the SOE Dean s Office in Spring 2018.
Job Responsibilities
* Interact with SOE students, faculty, staff, and guests in a professional and friendly manner
* Aid in drafting and editing content for the SOE dean s social media/networking pages
* Assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the SOE, including those related to new-faculty searches
* Perform clerical duties, such as copying, scanning, running errands, greeting visitors, etc.
* Help coordinate meetings, trainings, and other scheduled activities
* Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned

*Schedule Preference:* This is a semester-long position, with the possibility of an extension upon mutual consent of the applicant and hiring manager. Applicants should be able to work 10-20 hours per week. A specific schedule will be set at the time of hire.

*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Reliable, independent self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
* Strong organizational, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills
* Familiarity with operating basic office equipment, e.g., phones, computers, scanners, and copy machines
* Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, Google applications, social media/networking, and Internet research
* Commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment and to contributing to the mission and goals of the SOE
* Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 and good disciplinary standing at USF
*Desired Qualifications:*
* Design skills would be a plus
