Designer/ Interior Designer : Systems FurnitureSan Francisco, Ca OverviewThe Designer works on design projects that involve direct contact with sales staff, project managers or clients of One Workplace. The Designer reports directly to the Design Director. The Designer seeks to continually align with project team leadership to accomplish OWP business objectives. The ideal candidate must be committed to understanding the need for and producing accurate work in an expedient manner. Must work well in deadline driven industry and have ability to provide friendly, professional service to One Workplace staff and clients. Must have an interest in influencing corporate work environments that impact daily lives through engaging and fulfilling workspace. OWP is looking for the following traits in a Designer:Ownership for project deliverables; strong communications and project management skillsHigh attention to detail and a keen eye for interior design, materials and graphicsUnderstanding of and respect for the role of the client with the OWP business unitStrong interpersonal relationship skillsResponsibilities: Meet with customers to gather project information (surveys, interviews, data collection, observations)Perform field measures, product inventory and product researchProduce and present design concepts to internal and external clientsProduce furniture block plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawingsAssist with design proposalsManage project hoursMay perform project audits for other designersServe as mentor to other designers as determined by level of experienceQualifications:BachelorA?s (BA) Degree in Interior or Architectural Design from college or university3:5 yearsA? design experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of Steelcase products or systems furniture a plusAdvanced proficiency in a variety of software: AutoCAD, CET Designer, Google SketchupStrong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple programs at a time to deliver on deadlineExceptional Customer Service skills with a passion to provide solutions to client needsYou can expect to: stand and sit for extended periods; operate computers, and other ancillary office equipmentYou like communicating with others through face:to:face interactionYouA?ll enjoy working in an office environment with moderate noiseSeeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching (dexterity)Complex reading and writing skills, basic math skills, judgment/decision making, analysis/comprehensionMust have a valid driverA?s license and access to transportation to client sites around the Bay AreaJob Status: Position is Exempt for FLSA purposes; benefit eligibleOne Workplace is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits unlawful discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin/ancestry, age, disability, marital and veteran status.
