Position Description:
Under direction of a Senior Manager, the IT Project Manager oversees most if not all of the various parts of the project including but not limited to systems development cycle, including needs analysis, cost-benefit analysis, structured systems analysis and design, feasibility analysis, technology and software assessment, telecommunication needs analysis, procedural documentation, user training, and post-implementation assessment and administration.

Essential functions of this position include:
• Manage software development using the Agile & Waterfall methodology;
• Set clear direction & delegation to ensure strong execution of strategic and tactical plans;
• Collaborate and influence peers and management to drive the network strategy, business goals and roadmap execution;
• Relentlessly manage priorities, address talent gaps and create an open, innovative culture that blends well with the daily execution;
• Actively work on providing visibility of network solutions and performance across the broader organization;
• Maintain customer focus, understand the needs of our customers, including product development, site operations, and engage in regular contact with customers;
• Ensure that all services are defined and delivered to SLA/OLA KPIs;
• Ensure that teams are following processes for incident, change, and problem management;
• Define and manage the opex and capex budget;
• Develop and manage relationships with internal leadership teams, business managers, business teams;
• Effectively manage partner, vendor, and supplier relationships;
• Frequently collaborate with industry peers;
• Plan, monitor and manage capacity;
• Assure proper planning, engineering, documentation, installation and testing of various IT methodologies to meet end user requirements and manage maintenance activities;
• Work with vendors to prepare technical specifications, scopes of work, test plans, documentation and training materials;
• Coordinate multi-vendor support for the technical and administrative resolution of system issues;
• Apply policies, procedures and standards in specific situations;
• Establish and maintain good working relations with department personnel, staff, vendors, peers, and management;
• Determine operating characteristics and requirements, and monitor and report progress of work;
• Lead project team meetings and user meetings;
• Demonstrate competence in preparing simple budgets, contract management and interaction with purchasing and financial staff;
• Act as a Manager coordinating the implementation, support and management of departmental initiatives including direction of other staff;
• Supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of subordinates in assigned unit;
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Type:
This is an initial 12-month contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in San Francisco, CA (onsite). There will be occasional travel to San Ramon, CA. Contract is slated to be extended for 2 years.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business administration, or a closely related field;
2. At least six (6) years of verifiable experience in the information systems field working with cutting-edge technology, leading and managing a systems environment;
3. Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills;
4. Possess ability to think conceptually about design and information architecture;
5. Understand the array of technical constraints, user goals and business requirements that shape current and future products;
6. Have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
7. Have a positive, energetic, and confident personality. S/he should be a great team player in fast-changing and undefined situations;
8. Have the ability to work effectively in an autonomous fashion, with a willingness to enable the success of stakeholders globally;
9. Have grace under pressure.

Nice to Have:
• Strong knowledge and experience with Online Pipeline Simulators (OPS);
• Experience in leading external third-party vendors into delivering custom code;
• Knowledge and experience in HP PPMc, SAP, SharePoint, Data Centers, Hardware, NAS and SAN.
