We are looking for a rock star that can be our technical deal maker. As the Principal Solutions Architect, you will be a critical member of the FusionStorm Sales Team. The Principal Solutions Architect will be a critical member of the FusionStorm Sales Team. The primary role of the Principal Solutions Architect will be to lead all large scale technology presales opportunities. This will involve working cross functionally leading and working with teams and departments within the customer, FusionStorm, and vendor organizations to establish user and/or customer requirements, systems design, architecture, and FusionStorm solutions. They are acknowledged as an expert in their knowledge and abilities, and are sought after by others for their thought leadership and knowledge of how to design and architect complex solutions that cross different technical domains. The Principal Solutions Architect will be required to have direct and recurring interaction with our customers, sales teams, and vendor communities. This position is an office:based position; Principal Solutions Architects either work remotely from a home office or are assigned space at their local office. Travel to client sites and meetings may be required. Note: This position may require access to the Newark, CA facilityA?s Integration Center (IC) or Warehouse. Engineers will be granted as:needed passkey access to the IC and Warehouse areas, which is otherwise restricted.Duties / Responsibilities: Collaborate with Sales and Account Management team to identify and create winning sales strategies and new customer municate FusionStormA?s value proposition to varying technical and non:technical clients, including executive C level management, VP, and Director levels, and end:usersDevelop long:term customer relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirementsProvide pre:sales technical assistance and product educationSupport technical demonstrations, including customer events and tradeshowsPartner with the Sales team to develop requirements documents, presentations, proposals, and ROI models, and coordinate with a team of support specialists, consultants, or project managers to execute sales objectives or to ensure that all pre:sales customer requirements are teract with Solutions Architects, other Engineers, and vendors to adjust designs to meet the customerA?s needs.Provide technical project leadership of multiple teract with and support the project resources assigned to and by the customer and FusionStorm.Provide direction to other engineers on prioritization and performing research on technical problems.Identify, research, analyze, and resolve system malfunctions and operational problems. Develop technology tasks required to successfully deploy, implement, and support a customer municate technical information to non:technical personnel, vertically and horizontally within an organization. Work with other IT management, support personnel, and service providers to solve technical problems.Work in conjunction with Solutions Architects and other teams to create, maintain, and publish a set of written procedures and best practices for the delivery of pre: and post:sales engineering services to customers. Mentor other Engineers.Act as a point of escalation.Present technology topics at internal education sessions, and industry user group meetings and/or conferences.Recommend new technologies, best practices, and tools that support the growth of the business.Work with vendors to understand road maps and changes to products and technologies, and the potential impacts on the business and clients.Maintain subject matter expert status with designated vendors.Rapidly learn new technologies and paradigms.Supervisory Duties: Provide technical leadership of and guidance of project team(s) when required.Legally eligible to work in the United StatesBachelorA?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.Knowledge of a wide range of hardware
