Within Marketplace, Marketplace Pricing focuses on science, engineering, and design that communicates right price that will efficiently connect those in need of services (be it sharing a ride from A to B, ordering food, or having a package delivered) to one of our millions of driver partners nearby. As a member of the Marketplace Pricing team there are several areas of focus and contribution: be it developing real:time forecasting, experimentation, optimization, and algorithmic pricing engines through machine learning and algorithmic development; building platforms that allow for the deep expressivity required to custom tailor our solutions to each market, while providing the ability and reliability to scale millions of users around the globe; or creating products to provide meaningful and engaging in:app experiences communicating both the value of the service provided and the financial opportunity in providing service. We are looking for experienced team leaders and collaborators with natural product intuition and deep sense of customer obsession who can work smart and fast while taking technical excellence to a whole new level. This is a rare opportunity to truly develop complex deep science that goes behind a very simple interface of pushing a button and having a car show:up, in a space where science, engineering, and design must come together in order to achieve success.Qualifications and Required Skills:4+ years experience delivering, scaling, and owning highly successful and innovative software products with your fingerprints all over them : youA?re extremely proud of what youA?ve dustry experience using machine learning/numerical optimization/time:series forecasting algorithms to solve real:world problems using massive data sets.Deep understanding of exploratory data analysis, statistics, and feature engineering using transformations and techniques from various domains.Hands:on industry experience in rapid prototyping from problem statement to a PoC machine learning model.Perseverance to get things done with a focus on shipping online production systems. Roadblocks donA?t get in your way : they get you excited for the challenge.Deep love of building elegant, maintainable, well:documented code.
