Our My Macy s localization strategy means that our Operations and Field Services associates make the decisions that customize each store for its unique community, helping our customers experience the magic of Macy s on a personal level.
Development of MicroServices, integration, reference implementation using standards and guidelines that support high volumes, are fast, simple, reliable, distributed, and easy to extend and maintain.
Design, implement, unit-tests, functional-tests and integration-tests.
Develop and implement platform core capacities to abstract and support REST, Messaging, Caching, Vault and Authentication.
Design and implement REST APIs, Messaging, Caching, Batch and other core capabilities of Platform.
Work in a full Agile collaborative environment - including meetings, iterative development, estimations and design sessions.
Work with lead engineers, software architects and quality assurance engineers to resolve development roadblocks.
Work with distributed teams across various time zones.
Hands-on system design and development as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Build, optimize and scale our Node.js & Java platform and infrastructure.
Work on integration of Node.js & Java technologies in the Macy's ecosystem.
Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
BA/BS Degree required.
4+ years of full life cycle hands-on experience designing and developing large scale web applications on high traffic Internet site(s).
3+ years of hands-on experience with Java technologies that includes Spring boot, Spring framework and Hibernate.
2+ years of hands-on experience with NoSQL technologies such as HBase, Cassandra, Document DBs and In-Memory NoSQL and Caches.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles.
Proven ability as a problem-solver.
Demonstrable ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget.
Ability to deliver full life cycle engagements.
Strong estimating and planning skills.
Ability and desire to thrive in a proactive, high-pressure, client-services environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
