Position Summary:
:Manage and coordinate project information, timelines, and production of construction
documents required for execution of new stores, remodels and special projects.
:Assure that contract documents comply with Sephora standards and contain all necessary
drawings, details and code requirements.
:? Develop construction documents that achieve maximum efficiencies for bids, construction,
permit processes, project costs and schedule.
:? Manage outside consultant architects and engineers to ensure project schedules are
maintained and documents are accurate for landlord review, permitting, bid and any other
required submittals.
Primary Responsibilities:
:Facilitate effort to develop project scope of work including review of codes, tenant criteria,
merchandise requirements, operations requirements and any other design elements that
may need to be incorporated into a project.
:Provide feasibility studies and coordinate project design (plan, layout, interior elevations, and
storefront) based on current Sephora standards and specific site conditions.
:Coordinate project requirements based on information from fixture manager, merchants,
operations and construction.
:Review drawings at critical points throughout a project's development to ensure that bid
information is correct.
:Act as primary contact for outside consultants during project development phase. After
start of construction, monitor communication between consultants and construction
managers with regard to field conditions and/or changes made to projects.
:Review fixture plans to ensure the plan meets minimum merchandise requirements.
:Coordinate with MAPS Manager to ensure that plans are issued to merchant group and
vendors per construction schedule.
:Check all plans to be sure they meet Sephora design standards and criteria. Coordinate
with consultant architects to incorporate any changes or corrections into the final contract
:Explore the best options to expedite permit and landlord approvals. Meet face:to:face as
required. Assume joint responsibility with construction for tracking permit approvals to
ensure start of construction occurs on schedule.
:Research ways to facilitate the best methods for constructing the store and optimize
flexibility for future fixture moves as well as reduce costs.
:Act as primary contact between Sephora and tenant coordinators.
:Assist on special projects as required.
Education and Experience Required:
:Bachelor's Degree in architecture, design or a related field.
:Three to five years of related experience in Retail or similar field.
:High level capability in AutoCAD.
:Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
:Some 3d CAD/Visualization experience (SketchUp, Rhino, 3DS MAX)
:Adobe Suite (In:Design, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred, but not required.
