Position Type (Regular/Temporary):
Sephora is seeking a highly:driven, high:performing Technical Lead to join our Merchandise Planning Systems team for the delivery and support of large:scale, complex system applications, and/or multiple small to mid:sized applications. This includes Category management, Assortment planning, Localization, SKU Management and Demand planning functions. The Technical Lead will be working closely with the business on translating the business requirements to design and configure the system and on:going support. Additionally, the technical lead will partner closely with cross:functional teams for the rollout of the key Merchandising initiatives. One of the first project for this role is to partner with the Sr. Manager of Development for Merchandising to drive delivery of the Oracle Retail Category Management/Assortment Planning Project for Sephora.
:Works closely with business, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis , design and configuration of quality technical solutions
:Serve as IT System Matter Expert (SME) for the Merchandise Planning Systems.
:Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
:Designs interface and conversion needs for data and process to enhance existing systems or develop new ones.
:Recommend, design, develop, test and implement new capabilities and enhancements based on feedback from users.
:Support to manage and prioritize system issue and bug resolution.
:Work closely with team to detect, diagnose and remediate production issues.
:Be an active member of the Oracle Retail user community and bring in current industry practices.
:Manage the Oracle Retail Category Management/Assortment Planning system upgrades and partner with QA and technical teams to plan for the releases.
:Continually work to ensure the system is performing as expected and meeting the needs of business partners.
:Support resolving issues, gaps and defects escalated by users and/or key business stakeholders
:Reviews technical work of other team members, ensuring adherence to IT standards.
:Performs other job:related duties as assigned
:5+ years of related work experience implementing Oracle Retail RPAS Planning suite modules
:Hands:on knowledge of current technology standards/trends coupled with a desire to continually expand personal knowledge/skills
:Domain knowledge of the Retail Merchandising and Planning and technologies and solutions relevant to this industry
:Demonstrated knowledge of all components of Iterative and Agile SDLC methodologies in the context of major systems implementations and especially on projects and initiatives of high complexity
:Ability to establish and maintain relationships with other business and technology leaders
:Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to tailor communication to all levels of an organization
:Demonstrated ability to debate ideas, comfortable managing constructive conflict, and not afraid to challenge the status quo
:Open:minded with proven ability to work collaboratively with others in team environment
:Experience identifying, defining and implementing technical design/coding standards
:Required Technical Skills : Understanding of Oracle Retek RPAS Planning Suite, ERP Implementations, API Management, SOA Integrations, Jira/Agile Methodologies, server infrastructure design
:Desired Technical Skills : RPAS, Unix Shell scripting, Java, Oracle, PL/SQL technologies.
:Bachelors degree preferred in Computer Science; or relevant work experience.
