Customer Service Associate We are Scandinavian Designs, a home furnishings destination rooted in our love for modern design and fine craftsmanship. We are looking for a talented Customer Service Associate to join our team at our Petaluma, CA headquarters. Our Customer Service Associates ("Customer Care Associates") are passionate about our products and services and are committed to providing an exceptional customer experience. Our associates love talking about design and decor and helping our customors find the best solutions and products. Come help us grow our Customer Care department. Work over the phone using your knowledge and expertise to increase sales, enter orders, respond to inquiries, arrange for shipping and follow up with customers as needed. Facilitate sales that are delivered outside the range of existing stores for orders that are generated from multiple channels, including but not limited to, store, email and website. Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, refer questions to the appropriate resource and follow-up with our customers ensuring a positive customer care experience. Work with our customers to get accurate dimensions for shipping, provide pricing and expedite orders with the fulfillment department. Assist with post-order issues such as returns, replacements, refunds, delivery status and back order inquiries, problem resolution, and any other issues that may arise from the order fulfillment process frequently acting as the voice of the customer . Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree and/or additional education/certification in related field a plus. Prior experience in sales and customer service, preferably in a retail and online sales environment. A helpful attitude towards customer service, finding answers and providing a positive customer care experience. Competence with phones, chat, email, text and other communication media. Experience and skill working with Microsoft suite, internet, sales and service software, using terminals, keyboard and mouse. Knowledge of the shipping and delivery processes of home furnishings preferred. Excellent communication skills including active listen and demonstrating patience and understanding. Ability to defuse conflict and calmly handle complaints. Excellent organizational skills, file management and record keeping. Accurate and expedient math skills and the ability to calculate shipping charges and pricing. Able to successfully complete our pre-employment background and drug screenings.
