Visit for more information.The Radiographer III, under the general supervision of the Technical Supervisor and under the direction of the Radiologist, performs those functions necessary to produce quality diagnostic images. Operates complex radiographic equipment, both mobile and stationary, in various patient care settings for purposes of obtaining standard diagnostic radiographs. Input and retrieve data from the Hospital and Radiology Meditech System. Work various shifts within the department. Additionally, perform any and all job assignments that are requested to be completed in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates leadership skills with the ability to delegate and follow:through with decisions, including planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and improving services. Perform examinations in at least three of the following areas: Radiology/Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Ultrasound, Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Special Procedures Lab, CT, MRI. Assigned additional Lead Technologist duties such as: prioritizing work flow and assignment of duties, quality control/review for assigned modality, recommend process improvements to management. Eighteen (18) months supervisory experience required. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital, performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred. EDCUCATION REQUIRED: Graduation from an approved school of radiologic technology and the passing of the CRT/ARRT examinations is required. LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED:: Mammography permit, ARRT CT, ARRT MRI, RDMS, CRT/FLUORO, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital setting, performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred. Experience with digital imaging systems, PACS, and basic health care informatics is desired. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R), Certification (either state or national where appropriate) in three advanced imaging modalities (i.e. Mammography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, Vascular Imaging, and/or Cardiac Imaging), California Radiologic Technologists (CRT) certification, California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for cardiovascular imaging specialists is preferred. CARDIOVASCULAR IMAGING SPECIALIST: are required to have documented competency in lieu of state or national licensure for a second modality. ARRT certification in Cardiovascular Imaging is preferred.
