PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Product and Innovation Operations unit has the mandate to support the board area in driving strategic initiatives while securing effective and efficient operations. As part of that team, the Cloud Delivery Process Office expands their service scope to speed up cloud transformation at SAP. The new cloud transformation team will jointly with DevOps teams work out cloud delivery standards and best practices. In addition they support the implementation of the aligned standards and establish a governance framework for cloud delivery. Besides driving topics in cloud transformation projects the team will support the P and I COO handling ad hoc requests from top management about service improvements and service reports.
The team will act as customer advocate with the ultimate goal of easy to consume and reliable cloud services.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Drive and coordinate strategic cloud transformation topics
* Assessment of processes, tools and organizational structures to outline best practices and find improvement areas
* Perform improvement workshops with DevOps teams
* Design of new cloud delivery standards
* Manage strategic projects with board attention and present status and results to top management
* Negotiate and align complex topics across different P and I units and with other board areas (mainly DBS and GCO)
* Perform trainings and coaching sessions on cloud delivery standards
* Expertise in industry trends for cloud and development
* Act as a hub between SAP Headquarter and US based P and I cloud delivery units
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Bachelor or Master Degree (preferred Computer Science, engineering or natural science)
* Very good understanding of SAP's strategy and P and I portfolio
* Deep knowledge and experience in consulting and continuous improvement of development and cloud operations topics
* Strong project management skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Sense of commitment and responsibility, ability to drive topics
* Ability to improve processes in a dynamic environment
* Strong customer focus
* Able to work in an international team
* Excellent communication in English
* Ability to manage time zone gap to Germany
WORK EXPERIENCE
* :10 year experience in development or IT operations
* Experience in consulting across SAP's value chain
* Experienced in managing projects with board attention
* Established network in P and I cloud delivery units (SFSF experience preferred)
* Experience in coaching teams on new topics
LOCATION
**The candidate can work out of the SuccessFactors San Francisco office (preferred) or Palo Alto.
