Job Summary
The School of Education seeks a student assistant to support the Office of Admission & Outreach. The student assistant reports to the Associate Director of Admission, Communication and Outreach.
Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admission and Outreach:
* Interact with SOE students, faculty, staff, and guests in a professional and friendly manner
* Inserting news articles into the Drupal web content management system and writing teasers
* Posting daily updates to Twitter and Facebook
* Compiling and updating the School of Education s visibility mailing lists
* Take photographs and edit video for the School of Education website and social media
* May have the opportunity to write or edit articles to be included in the School of Education newsletter and website
* Assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the SOE such as mailing flyers and publications, data entry and responding to email and phones
* Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned

*Minimum Qualifications:* - Reliable, independent self-starter who takes initiative and follows through - Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills - Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines - Familiarity with operating basic office equipment, e.g., phones, computers, scanners, and copy machines - Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, Google applications, social media/networking; Video editing and photoshop experience is recommend - Commitment to working in a culturally diverse environment and to contributing to the mission and goals of the SOE - Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 and good disciplinary standing at USF - Interest in communications, social media, journalism, or publishing
