Walsh is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager : Water Treatment for our Northern California Region Heavy Civil : Water/Wastewater Treatmean Plant (WWTP) Business Group located throughout the South Bay Area of California.This position will be primarily assigned to a WWTP project near the San Francisco Airport, however may also be assigned to any number of Bay Area WWTP projects within this business group and area program. The candidate will be required to report to WWTP jobsites thorughout the South Bay and West Bay, therefore candidate should be comfortable with varied daily travel throughout that area.The Assistant Project Manager candidate shall hold extensive knowledge of construction means and methods pertaining to treatment plant construction, including the large variety of process equipment and mechanical piping systems associated with this industry. Candidate must demonstrate experience in the management of large, water infrastructure projects for public agencies and possess skills in the following sub:disciplines; budgeting, scheduling, quantity tracking and reporting, union/labor relations, regulatory compliance, written and verbal communication, change management, cost management and forecasting, estimating, contract negotiations, etc. Walsh is a rapidly growing, highly diversified construction company, and we constantly seek builders and business people to join our industry:leading team. Applicants must demonstrate experience working with the project ownerA?s representatives on a regular basis and include with the application one reference from a representative of a public works agency. Applicants must demonstrate experience serving as representative to subcontractors and management staff by establishing, maintaining, and managing expectations relating to project performance. Public work sector experience required.Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred4 years of construction management experience, preferrably in WWTP projectsPrevious experience in heavy civil and structures strongly desiredPrioritize, develop, and maintain project schedulesStrong leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communicationAbility to prioritize and manage timeStrong follow upAbility to establish relationships and lead people and work in variety of teams/groupsSelf:motivatedCritical thinking and decision making skills Equal Opp
