Position Type (Regular/Temporary):
The Director of IT HR systems is a Technical leadership role with accountability for the development and delivery of HR applications and systems. This role will partner with key HR business leaders in engineering and delivering new technology solutions and capabilities. The Director of IT HR Systems will be responsible for developing the 3 year technology roadmap, prioritizing demand, obtaining leadership buy in, performing stakeholder management and ensuring the delivery of IT projects and initiatives. As the technology thought partner for the HR business, this role will also be responsible for staying current with new and innovative technologies, building the business case and influencing the necessary changes to ensure that IT continues to enable Sephoras growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:Lead a team of technical developers and contractors in delivering HR technologies and applications in support of business needs.
:Participate as a member of the Enterprise Core applications Leadership Team in leading technology, people and process transformation and continuous improvements.
:Matrix manage other IT teams (i.e. PMs, QAs, Infrastructure) to ensure the delivery of projects and enhancements.
:Partner with other IT leaders to ensure coordinated delivery of projects and meeting commitments.
:Architect and engineer HR technology solution that drives maximum value and ROI for the business.
:Develop and maintain Sephoras HR Technology strategy through strong stakeholder relationship management with HR and with Information Technology (IT) leadership.
:Manage the HR project portfolio to ensure operational excellence and optimization of existing technology solutions
:Lead project discoveries, agile development, and project delivery for all HR Technology projects.
:Lead transformation of HR systems from traditional ERP systems to SaaS based and service oriented applications, identify new technologies that will continue to scale the business
:Provide day to day leadership and coaching to IT and business teams in resolving issues, removing roadblocks and delivering on commitments.
:Coached and develop a high performing team.
:Partner with HR as well as internal compliance, legal, IT, payroll, and other process owners to maintain compliance standards and mitigate risks from an IT perspective.
:15+ years of experience leading software development/technology teams
:10+ years of experience implementing HCM Applications
:7+ years of experience with cloud:based HR solutions desired
:Strong understanding of HR business functions and end to end processes
:Working experience in implementing the SuccessFactors suite of applications, including Employee Central, Talent, Performance Management and the integrations between cloud and on premise solutions
:Knowledge of SAP HCM desired
:Good understanding of HR technologies and related infrastructure
:Working experience with implementing global HR solutions desired
:Strong software development experience including understanding of agile software delivery
:Demonstrated ability to architect and engineer technology solution
:Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage by influence
:Strong organizational, analytical and problem:solving skills
:Strong vendor management and matrix management skills
:Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and change
:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
