Job Description:/h3:
Plum Lending is looking for an experienced, full:time Human Resources and People Operations Generalist to grow with us as our 35 person company continues to expand. This is a great opportunity for someone willing to roll up their sleeves and gain experience in several areas of the business. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: policy and process implementation, employee onboarding, immigration, employment law compliance, payroll, tracking, employee happiness, talent acquisition, office space management and event planning.
Required: At least 6 years professional experience in HR. Start:up and recruiting experience highly preferred.
This role will report to our CEO and VP of Finance and is based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters.
HR/People Tasks:
* Administer Plum plans and policies in conjunction with our HR partner TriNet; assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
* Maintain a current knowledge of legal requirements related to day:to:day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
* Act as a resource to employees regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and general inquiries
* Manage new hire onboarding as well as termination processes; prepare paperwork and communicate to all necessary parties as per defined process
* Maintain employee data, create and maintain personnel files and department filing in compliance with all state and federal requirements
* Maintain and manage Plums foreign national compliance; work with attorneys and guide employees on B1 and TN Visa filings, OPT STEM extensions, and Permanent Resident Status
* Be subject matter expert in specialized regulatory areas (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, PFL, CFRA, etc.) and employee relations to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and industry regulations
* Assist with payroll processing and preparing payroll reports
* Track time attendance with the assistance of Inside Sales team
* Process employment verifications and expense reimbursements
* Coordinate, plan and schedule required company:wide trainings
* Recommend process improvement for HR procedures in accordance with industry best practices, along with recommending operational changes to maximize efficiency
Talent Acquisition:
* Partner with tech and data departments to source and acquire talent
Office Culture:
* Plan company events, investor meetings and quarterly celebrations
* Order snacks and supplies, and administer catering for office
* Assist with office space planning and furniture
