BakerAvenue Wealth Management, an independent, fee-only, registered investment advisor, is hiring an attorney to fill the position of Senior Financial Advisor, Trust & Estate Specialist. The Advisor will create complex, comprehensive financial projections for our high net worth clients.

As the Senior Financial Planner on the San Francisco Wealth Advisory Team, you will develop comprehensive financial plans and conduct complex estate and tax planning analyses for high-net-worth clients. Your primary responsibility will be to add additional value to and strengthen client relationships. You will play an integral role in the shaping of BakerAvenue’s wealth management practice; your skills, experience, and insight will help us to determine which services to provide to clients in the future, and to what degree.

As the Senior Financial Planner, you will be the lead financial planning contact for clients. As such, you will guide clients through every step of the financial planning process. This includes, but is not limited to, collecting and organizing clients’ personal financial data, developing cash flow projections, working with outside professionals to implement financial recommendations, and consistently monitoring and updating clients’ plans.

You will also advise clients regarding their estate plans. In this regard, you will review clients’ existing estate documents and offer your expert feedback on how they might improve or update their documents. You will also help pair clients with fitting Trust and Estate attorneys, and prepare them for their attorney meetings.

In addition, although your primary responsibility is not business development, you will be able to contribute to the firm’s culture of business growth. In this capacity, you will attend and can organize client appreciation, community, and networking events. You will also participate in meetings with potential clients, where you will provide overviews of your expertise and services.

BakerAvenue is a strong proponent of continuing education and will support you as you pursue additional certifications. We will encourage you to begin, if you have not already, the path towards CFP certification. BakerAvenue will pay for 100% of the costs associated with this certification (Capstone Course and Exam Registration Fees). BakerAvenue will pay for 80% of the costs associated with all other continuing education opportunities.

What you will do:
- Collect, organize and manage personal and financial client information
- Develop asset allocations to meet clients' risk profile
- Using Money Guide Pro, develop financial and retirement projections
- Analyze clients’ estate plans, retirement plans, tax planning, and insurance needs
- Support Managing Director in documenting client meeting notes and delivering follow-up strategies
- Coordinate implementation of planning recommendations with outside professionals
- Continuously monitor clients’ financial situations with detail and accuracy with CRM (Salesforce)
- Be available for questions from clients
- Stay up to date on tax and law updates relevant to financial planning
- Actively contribute to the firm’s culture of business growth (e.g., planning/attending client events and/or networking with Centers of Influence)
