Use statistical theory and methods to develop mathematical and statistical models (multivariate and time:series regression) and interpret model results to provide usable information and consultative recommendations to clients related to the impact of product pricing and in:store trade promotions: Lead final presentations of results to clients. Assist clients in acting on recommendations and in navigating their own organizations, especially with respect to budget decisions. Create strategy for improving performance and efficiency by gathering and responding to feedback from team members. Identify opportunities to ensure efficient delivery, improve automation and standardization and to simplify processes. Participate in analytic communities that create and promote the development of best practices. Assist sales partners by sharing leads and potential contacts and support development of thought leadership pieces in assigned solution area. Review and approve modeling and analysis plans from associate team. Conduct tool trainings and lead workshops in assigned area of expertise. Provide general coaching and mentoring to 3:4 associates to promote their long:term career growth and development. Direct other employees to ensure accuracy and quality of intermediate and final deliverables, including validation of model results both statistically and through face validity checks. Oversee Analytic Consulting associate team in connection with 6:10 projects or engagements at a time across multiple clients. Domestic travel required for client meetings and training 2:3 times per year for 1:2 days per trip. Involves the opportunity to telecommute from home from within the San Francisco area up to 2 days per week, as feasible. Tools used: MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) and SAS (including SAS/ACCESS).
Masters degree in statistics, marketing, economics, business administration or a related field (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus 2 years of experience in marketing research using statistical techniques (would also accept a bachelors degree plus 5 years of post:baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience).
Any level of experience in and/or knowledge of:
project management, process optimization and performance improvement;performing mathematical formulations to solve business problems;
data collection from internal and syndicated sources;
model development and review (multivariate and time:series regression);
interpretation and presentation of model results in client:friendly format;
collaboration with cross:functional teams to execute on:time delivery of projects;
client engagement management;
management of multiple concurrent projects;
MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint);
SAS (including SAS/ACCESS); and
Must be willing to travel domestically for client meetings and training 2:3 times per year for 1:2 days per trip.
