POSITION SUMMARY This position will educate other medical physicists and radiation oncologists on how to account for the AeroForm tissue expander in patients that require radiotherapy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities will include: Direct peer-to-peer consultation (via phone, in-person or web-based) with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, plastic surgeons and other care providers as needed to address questions about AeroForm, treatment planning or clinical concerns related to the management of radiation therapyReview and creation of materials on radiation therapy intended for radiation oncologists, medical physicists, plastic surgeons, breast surgeons and other care providersReview of training materials for Company sales, marketing and clinical team personnel on the topic of radiation oncology, treatment plans, different treatment modalities and patient managementWill work with a focused team of other consulting medical physicists, consulting radiation oncologists, clinical, R&D, marketing and sales functions on interpreting field based queries and coordinating solutions to these health care providersPeriodic training of Company sales, marketing and clinical team personnel, either in person or web-basedAuthor or co-author on publications related to radiation oncology treatment planning, protocols and other areas of interestPresentations to professional societies, organizations or practice groups for the purpose of education on the topic of radiation oncology and building best practice for radiation treatment concurrent with two-stage breast reconstructionProvide insights on new treatment trends, treatment modalities, and best practices for Company to consider for new product development and strategies QUALIFICATIONS Apply independent judgment in contributing ideas suggesting alternatives for treatment planning, dosimetry and the use of radiotherapy on the AeroForm tissue expander in breast reconstruction procedures.Communicate key results or other related information to interdepartmental team members, plastic surgeons, medical physicists, breast surgeons and radiation oncologists.Must be able to follow established policies and procedures, and comply with regulatory requirements.Must be a positive, energetic team player, and an advocate for product excellence and quality.Must be hands-on, results-oriented, who is a strong team player, excellent communicator, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.Must have the ability to recognize problems, recommend and implement solutions.Must be well organized and possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Must be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, start-up environment.Must work well with others and be a team player.Must possess a can-do attitude. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Masters degree in Medical Physics or related field required; PhD preferred5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in medical devicesExperience providing treatment plans to radiation oncology teams associated with PMRT procedures preferred
