About the Role
The Business Continuity Manager develops and supports business resiliency planning and the processes that ensure that various company departments are prepared to respond and recover from an extended business disruption. This role is responsible for the enterprise business continuity (BC) program including successful development, implementation, and maintenance of BC planning. The primary program components are the enterprise:wide business impact analysis (BIA), the business continuity planning process, conducting BC exercises, the executive impact tolerance assessment, and reporting to senior leadership. The position provides expertise in business impact analysis; maps system and process dependencies; uses constant collaboration, communication, and training on business continuity planning to business units; conducts risk assessments and training, and engages with senior leadership.

* Conduct the three phases of the BC planning process: 1) business impact analysis done collaboratively with various teams, 2) translate and use BIA results into development of business continuity plans, 3) maintain and update the plans as necessary, and 4) conduct exercises that test a teams ability to use business continuity plans.
* Refine and improve the current BIA template to respond to evolving needs of business resiliency. Work closely with business units on their BIAs updates.
* Develop, implement, and deliver an ongoing business continuity training program for exercising and training internal and external stakeholders on BC plans and practices.
* Develop and maintain business continuity plans in an organized, auditable manner. Such plans must address short: and mid:term operational workarounds, physical displacement, and recovery resource needs.
* Provide leadership, advice, and guidance to BC specialists on the team. Provide in:depth BC training and guidance to business team leaders and their teams.
* Develop plans for implementing future BCM program tools like advanced database systems for BCM data and BCM software tools.
* Directly contribute to the BC teams contribution to enterprise business resiliency and enterprise risk management.
* Foster relationships and develop networking opportunities to gather and disseminate business continuity information. Further frequent collaboration among business continuity stakeholders, including a diverse array of departments and business units, internal and external.
* Adeptly and productively work with a wide array of partner employees across business disciplines and hierarchies. Forge direct collaborative relationships that further the BCP teams objectives and enterprise business resiliency.
* Assist in developing and conducting facility risk assessments, as well as identifying prevention and mitigation efforts that result from such work.
* Contribute to developing a comprehensive program encompassing corporate emergency response, employee preparedness, and incident management.
* Help present findings and outcomes of BC work in spoken briefings to stakeholders, through visual graphics and presentations, and in written reports.
