We are seeking confident, hard:working cooks to support the back of the house team and to uphold high quality and consistent food to our guest. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Responsible for cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance with rules, policies, and standards set by the Chef and the restaurant;
:Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products and equipment at line stations to ensure a smooth restaurant service;
:Participates in food preparation and portioning prior to service, during off:peak periods, or as assigned, in accordance with restaurant guidelines and standards;
:Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment including the rotation of products for freshness;
:Assumes 100 responsibility for quality of products served; and
:Other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years of age;
Food Handler Card certification preferred, otherwise to be obtained within 30 days from date of hire;
Be able to operate basic kitchen equipment, including but not limited to stoves, knives, grill presses and ovens.
Knowledge of French, Japanese and American cuisine, as well as the Sous:vide Cooking Method
Must have a passion for cooking, teaching and leading
Demonstrate decision making by identifying relevant issues in complex situations; and seeks information and assistance from appropriate sources
Education and Experience:
Two or more years of experience as a Line Cook;
Culinary Academy
training/certificate (or equivalent) a plus; and
Extensive knowledge of service, food and beverage.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Possess excellent basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly for portioning and measuring quantities, without a calculator.

Must be able to perform all job duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, masks, and aprons;
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, including overtime if needed;
Regularly talk and hear up to 8 hours a day;
Regularly stand for prolonged periods of time over the course of an 8 hour day;
Regularly walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms;
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus;
Occasionally climb stairs and/or take elevator; and
Occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
