Job Description:/h3:
To develop new business within a specified territory or market segment. To provide service to guests and fellow team members in a manner which meets or exceeds Handlery Hotels standards and to comply with established company and departmental policies and procedures.
:Achieve monthly revenue goals following booking guidelines. Actively solicit new key accounts to generate direct sales and new clients. Negotiate and manage preferred corporate accounts to maximize business potential and meets/exceeds hotel revenue goal.
:Participate in sales trips targeting specific areas within market. Solicit accounts within assigned market segment.
:Maintain aggressive weekly telephone, site inspection, personal call and outside sales goals. Achieve budgeted room nights, rate and revenues. Develop and implement sales action plans.
:Developing long term business relationships
:Maintain interdepartmental communications and complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing and the President.
:Provide and ensure that all required reports are completed on a timely basis.
:Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations, trade shows and community events.
:Attend and participate property and departmental meetings.
:Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
:Perform MOD duties as a part of the management team.
:Enforce compliance of company safety policies and procedures.
:Service oriented and Teamwork oriented.
:Requires excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent telephone skills required.
:Must possess excellent computational ability.
:Must possess excellent computer skills.
:Must be able to multi:task.
:Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations and graciously assertive.
:Working knowledge of constitutional, statutory and civil law, hotel policy and fire:safety procedures.
:Has good knowledge of the city and surrounding area (history, attractions, etc.) of interest to guests.
