Outside Sales position for our full service catering company
CATERING SALES MANAGER- 49 Square Catering is seeking a full time, CATERING SALES MANAGER to be a part of our busy catering and event planning team. This person should be professional, personable, hardworking and a responsible team player. 49 Square Catering is a fast growing, creative catering company and there are a lot of great opportunities to grow with us. This is a Full Time position, with some nights and weekends. We do ask for flexibility, as sometimes we find ourselves wearing many hats!

QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred for the position. Bachelor's degree preferred Overall knowledge of the hospitality and special event industry. Experience in using Caterease is preferable. . Large scale event experience is a PLUS!

*Professional background with a minimum of 5 years catering sales experience in offsite catering.

*Strong communications and interpersonal skills, outgoing personality.

*Friendly and helpful demeanor.

*Excellent communication and writing skills are required. Detail oriented - this is integral to succeed in this position.

*Proactive, flexible and creative.

*Ability to work in high pressure/stressful situations.

*Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook,Social Media platforms.

*Experience using Caterease is a PLUS.


Catering Sales Manager

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing:

Develop, foster, and maintain relationships with existing clients, venues and vendors

Build new relationships with potential clients, venues and vendors that lead to revenue generation

Construct bids in collaboration with the Executive Chef, BOH Events Manager and Production Manager

Ensure that bids are profit generating and constructed appropriately to the customer demographic.

Negotiate effectively to convert bids and ensure client bookings.

Highlight 49 Square Catering’s unique value proposition at all times in the sales process.

Identify new client types and growing markets to target.

Ensure that customers are satisfied with the service and food quality.

Build lasting relationships with clients of all types.

Consistently represent our brand and maintain our brand standards

Attend industry networking events and educational programs

Organize and attend client tastings and other promotional events as needed
