Job Description:/h3:
The A and D Manager works within the Architect and Design community, in a geographically assigned territory (and working within the Company policies and procedures); responsible for
developing/enhancing positive perceptions of and familiarity with our brand and our offerings; and providing process support (product application and process navigation) for project activities to A and D, end users and our internal team; and for contributing to new/stronger internal capabilities to successfully market to and service this audience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Build Brand acceptance, trial and preference. Develop professional and productive business relationships with A and D firms that educate, excite and enroll them.
* Target 10 firms on annual basis to improve overall standing in those firms; and track/report progress of these and other firm activities through timely updated to Sales Logix.
* Create industry visibility and strong social ties through participation in industry related groups and activities; including those that support our dealer partners.
* Oversee provision of COM info, literature, pricing, images, samples and other support materials to A and D or other influencers.
* Deliver educational content, including 101 CEU courses.
* Coordinate various out:reach/market research activities by identifying audiences, coordinating interactions, and following up on action items related to Headquarter visits, focus groups, design councils and other forms of focused engagement.
* Coordinate market research activities to understand A and D and end user needs and preferences; and leading and/or supporting developmental efforts to add internal capabilities, processes and tools.
2. Contribute to sales : local and regional wins : through solutions development, including needs analysis, product positioning, application consulting and competitive intelligence. Support account development and retention initiatives relative to workplace and product strategies within select significant accounts.
* Participate in account and product positioning strategy discussions with field sales team.
* Assist in customer/A and D requests for strategy and design collaboration and assemble/describe and/or design appropriate needs:based solutions. This may include creation of typical, test fits, and/or block plans as required to recommend product applications:new schematic level typicals, standards or kit:of:parts solutions.
* Effectively coordinate other corporate and dealer support resources; and utilize/validate Sales and Workplace Advisory processes and tools.
* Support mock:up plans, positioning, review and presentation materials to support presentations.
* Coordinate as needed with Tailored Products and other internal functions to support the eventual specification and pricing needed.
* Contribute to the periodic sharing of new learning and possible product
enhancements/updates between team and with Product Development, Design Support Services and the Tailored Products group.
3. Lead and/or contribute to Program committees that develop new capabilities, processes and tools, like National Firms, Students, Sustainability for A and D, Trends in Design Practice and Social Media/Web Content creation.
4. Provide reports and reviews as requested by Divisional Vice President, Sales, Region Manager, or other management.
5. Maintain positive working relationships with all company and region members.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Experience/Education Required
Bachelors Degree Required, MBA preferred
1:3 years experience working with Architect or Design Firms
