Job Description:/h3:
Working with Senior Management, the Project Manager will oversee the construction work, and coordinate all segments of the project with the project team.
The Project Manager will perform takeoffs as necessary (from existing structures and project documents), develop change order estimates, write client proposals, administer contracts, develop project schedules and costing, supervise projects, and ensure quality control. You will prepare customer billings and assist in collection efforts as necessary.
The Project Manager will assist in the creation and review of the project related documents, specifications, cost estimates and schedules to ensure that budgetary and schedule requirements are adhered to, and will regularly monitor the entire project for compliance with the stated objectives.
The Project Manager performs and coordinates administrative, technical and professional work related to their projects and ensure compliance with appropriate guidelines, polices, and approved internal controls. This position will have direct contact with the Project Superintendent, Project Foreman, Customer and/or Customer representatives.
:Fully responsible for managing multiple simultaneous projects in multiple locations; each project with a value that ranges from 100K to 4M. Projects may include, but not limited to; facades restoration, masonry, waterproofing, sealants and coatings, concrete repairs, stucco/EIFS.
:Negotiate change orders and contract issues.
:Hands:on management of Westerns own work crews, as well as subcontractors and other suppliers/trades required to complete project objectives.
:Provides schedule and cost updates as well as comprehensive project status reports to both clients and Western management.
:Complete responsibility for managing the full lifecycle of the project from kickoff to final billing and project closeout.
:Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture or a combination of education and years experience. Applicable hands on construction experience managing projects will be considered in lieu of a degree.
:Minimum 5 years of experience working on commercial and/or sizeable residential construction projects.
:Minimum 3 years experience of complete responsibility for managing construction projects as the project manager.
:Experience managing project budgets and providing updates to management.
:Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
:Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
