O'Connor Construction Management, Inc. is a full-service, independent construction management company. The firm was founded in 1982 as a cost consultancy for owners and design professionals. Over the past 34 years we have broadened our scope of services to include every aspect of program, project, and construction management. OCMI is looking to staff one full-time QA/QC professional to manage and coordinate all of the inspection work with an existing client. This person will manage a team of inspectors, be able to advise on level of inspection staffing, plan and drive the work, ask the questions needed, be central hub for documentation/information, and be a good communicator that can interface with the end users. Construction background a plus. The inspector shall inspect all work performed by the General Contractor in accordance with the inspection plan to verify conformity with requirements of the construction contract. Verify that workmanship, materials and equipment installed by the construction contractor meet or exceed the requirements of the contract drawings and specifications. Plan and coordinate inspections with the construction contractor to minimize impacts on construction operations, and confirm that critical inspections occur as required. Provide an inspection plan, daily diaries, and inspection reports. Requirements The inspector shall hold, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quality Management or a discipline related to the Design and/or Construction industries. The Inspector shall possess a minimum of ten years of professional experience in the Design and/or Construction industries, with at least 5 years of most recent work as an Inspector, and has successfully performed inspection on completed projects in excess of $20 million.
