Wea€ (TM) ll cultivate that ability with world-class training and mentoring, and then support it with the kind of teamwork that translates plans into real-world solutions.what you get to dointegrated design:Support Project Team Migrations to BIM/VDC technologies, including implementing project standards, document verification/coordination, identifying and resolving design related issues, MEP coordination, and production of field drawings.Effectively use modeling technology [REVIT, AutoCAD, etc.] to develop field construction and layout drawings, and to document coordination efforts in advance of shop drawings for sub trade coordination and construction.Work effectively with the design team to ensure design issues are identified and resolved to maintain the design/preconstruction schedule.Ensure constructability while maintaining design intent. Conduct constructability reviews and identify construction related design issues.Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to effectively communicate and coordinate shop drawing/detailing efforts.Support preconstruction estimating efforts. Fully capable of estimating significant scopes of work including self performed work.Support marketing proposal efforts by contributing both written and graphic information to effectively communicate internally and externally the firm's abilities in BIM/VDC and IPD.Analyze and assess current and emerging trends in computer applications relative to BIM/VDC and Integrated Project Delivery [IPD]. Make recommendations to the appropriate operational group regarding the adoption of software and/or work processes.project engineering:Effectively prioritize and manage project engineering workload; apply innovative problem solving skills.Conduct complete and accurate quantity takeoffs; ensure correct materials and quantities are scheduled to arrive in a timely manner.Review shop drawings for coordination with trades and compliance with contract documents; expedite and approve submittals and shop drawings.Organize and manage the submittal/delivery schedule to coordinate with overall project schedule.Support change order pricing efforts, and timely change order and PCO submittals.Support request for qualification efforts and participate in interviews as Project Engineer.what it takesBachelora€ (TM) s degree in Architecture, Mastera€ (TM) s degree preferred.5+ years Construction Administration, Project Engineering and/or integrated design management experience.Proficiency with MS Office, online project management software, and BIM software required. Experience with OnScreen Takeoff and other estimating software preferred.Appetite to learn new things and a willingness to take on any task.Other specialized experience or accreditations preferred, eg AIA or LEED..
