JOB DESCRIPTION CONSTRUCTION CREW & LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CREW JOB DESCRIPTION : Report to Maintenance Lead and/or Construction Lead; perform maintenance tasks in client gardens and construction tasks as directed RESPONSIBILITIES: To include the following: FIELD: Work on construction sites performing tasks as needed Work on maintenance sites, performing tasks as needed; complete the prescribed checklist Fine carpentry (decks, fences, planter boxes, etc.) and other landscape construction trades Irrigation system installation and repair; outdoor lighting Grading; stone work Routine horticultural tasks including fine pruning, mulching, weeding Maintain the whereabouts of all company property, keep storage organized and equipment repaired and in good order Interact with clients in a professional manner at all times, communicating to the Maintenance and Construction Leads or office general information, client requests and concerns no later than the day after the site visit ADMINISTRATIVE: Sign in and out of TSheets at the beginning and end of each day, and during lunch break; Switch between jobs and tasks in TSheets as needed Check in with supervisor at the beginning and end of the work day Notify supervisor of any errors/incongruence/complications/delays or postponements with construction and maintenance tasks Notify supervisor of the need for any tool and material delivery Work with Maintenance and Construction Leads to ensure that storage is maintained in an orderly manner Maintain all receipts, specifying on each what job site they pertain to; submit daily Complete and submit the daily field report as needed PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work outdoors, sometimes exposed to hot or cold temperatures Stand or walk for long periods of time Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls Repeat movements over and over Bend or twist their body Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl Use fingers or hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects See details of objects whether they are nearby or far away Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath Determine the distance between objects Speak clearly so listeners can understand, and understand the speech of another person Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out Wear gloves, hard hats, safety goggles, or ear plugs, depending on the job Work exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable Are sometimes exposed to contaminants, such as fumes from paints or sealers Are sometimes exposed to hazardous equipment Occasionally must work in very bright or very dim lighting conditions Are sometimes exposed to hazardous situations that produce cuts or minor burns Occasionally are exposed to whole body vibration, such as when using a jackhammer May work physically near others, usually within a few feet We provide consultations, ongoing maintenance services and complete design-build landscape remodels for gardens of all sizes: residential-houses, estates, live-work and apartment complexes, and commercial-municipal and industrial buildings and restaurants.
