Unger Construction Company is looking for a seasoned Project Manager who has experience with commercial construction projects and is motivated to run a project team on a wide variety of commercial projects throughout Northern California, with positions opened for the greater Sacramento region and the South Valley area (Stockton, Tracy, Modesto).

As a Project Manager you can expect to work closely with the VP of Construction and Project Executive while performing many of the following responsibilities:
:Estimates and bids both self:performed and subcontracted work
:Reviews project proposal or plans to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
:Establishes and maintains mast building schedule in conjunction with Project Superintendents
:Negotiates and administers all project contracts
:Develops job cost and writes subcontracts and purchase orders
:Prepares budget and financial reporting
:Reviews change orders for accuracy
:Responsible for contractors pay requests and invoicing
:Reviews and approves all vendor and subcontractor invoices; resolves discrepancies
:Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports for Unger management, owner or others
:Maintain quality assurance and control
:Directs and ensures timely completion of project close:out activities
:Establishes and maintains relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc.
x200B;Job Skills Required:
:Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration or equivalent technical training and related experience
:LEED Accredited is desirable
:Five years of managerial and supervisory experience in the construction industry
:Extensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling and estimating
:Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Project, Outlook
:Viewpoint is desirable
:Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
:Ability to think ahead and plan projects over a multi:year time span
:Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
:Strong customer orientation
:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
:Strong team player
:Commitment to company values
:Must have a valid CA drivers license and a good driving record
