NRG Renewables invites applications from experienced solar professionals with project scheduling experience to join NRG's Design Engineering team. Typical projects include commercial rooftop, carport, and ground mount solar and utility scale PV projects, and an increasing number of hybrid:renewable generation project opportunities to integrate solar, wind or other clean energy sources with conventional diesel power systems, energy storage and demand management technologies. The Project Planning Coordinator will track and characterize key project metrics including milestone dates, baseline costs, energy production, capacity, and risk. S/he will maintain the database of projects (DBOP), supporting the Project Managers, Development Engineers, and Project Engineers to accurately reflect the Integrated Project Plans of Record in the database. The Project Planner will have experience in development and construction project scheduling, cost controls, database management, and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
:Develop standard project schedule templates to track key project milestone dates
:Work with project team to finalize and update project specific schedule durations and milestones on a regular basis, ensuring the Project Plan of Record is accurately reflected in the database of projects(DBOP)
:Attend regular project meetings to modify and update key project data
:Organize and maintain accuracy of key project data across entire portfolio of active projects and new project pipeline, including milestone dates, project costs, energy, and basic system specifications
:Coordinates with Procurement to issue and track purchase requisitions for Owner:Furnished equipment, ensure lead times are incorporated into project plans, and accurately reflect NRGs technology mix in cross:functional reporting
:Work with internal stakeholders to develop and improve project data management tools, processes, and communication forums
:Develop internal tools, templates, and guidelines to improve project data accuracy across various business units and internal functional teams
:Track and manage task requests to support the origination pipeline of new project opportunities with new schedules
:Key data aggregation resource internally to support and manage internal business development programs and initiatives
:B.S. degree in engineering, business, or related subject preferred.
:2:3 years of solar construction experience preferred, including direct EPC experience completing or supporting the scheduling and project management functions
:Excellent proficiency using entire MS Office and 0365 suite of tools, specifically MS Projects, Access, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
:Experience creating templates and tools to quickly and consistently produce professional database reports
:Understanding of solar construction sequencing and standard project scopes of work and durations
:Familiarity with current solar market, equipment suppliers, contractors, typical technical specifications, and costs
:Working knowledge of basic construction best practices
:Detail:oriented and self:motivated with ability to perform in a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
:Proven ability to organize and prioritize work, manage relations
