Aviation practice has an immediate opportunity for a highly energetic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented Senior Construction Engineer in our San Francisco office. Principal duties of the role include:The Senior Construction Engineer provides management support to our Client in the area of planning, engineering, design and construction associated with the Client Development Program. Responsibilities include: Serving as an overall Field Manager and point of contact responsible for coordination and logistics planning for on-site construction operations within active airport environmentField Manager will be managing a fair amount of field logisticsResponsible for timely processing of ramp driving permits, program wide parking issues/permits, construction permits to work, and other approvals related to construction logistics Perform construction planning and phasing to identify interfaces and coordination requirementsDevelop and present Implementation Plans for consideration by the Program managerProvide periodic information to the Program Manager for current and projected levels of field activity and staffingRecognizing construction problems and applying standard techniques and procedures to solve themSupervising (including assigning tasks to) field staff Reviewing and approving daily inspection reports and project documentationMaintaining contact with clients and contractors to discuss construction activities (from a Quality standpoint)Attending meetings with clients and contractors Performing other duties as assignedThis position offers a chance to be part of a group of professionals interested in doing first-class work on interesting projects..Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field (eg Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, etc.) or equivalent experienceA minimum of 10 years of experience as a PM, CM, Site Engineer or resident engineer on major transportation, heavy civil, and/or facilities projects, including work with similar scopeCurrent knowledge of various client construction specifications and contract and field managementExcellent analytical skills Ability to filter key points from complex details and develop action/follow-up plans accordinglyStrong customer-service orientationGood report-writing skillsCompetency with the current business software programs and web-based construction management softwarePreferred Qualifications: Experience with transit, aviation, freight rail and/or vertical constructionP.E. Certification, or Certified Construction Manager, or similar certification preferredQuality Management Certifications The ability to work in this country immediately is required. Local candidates preferred. The selected candidate must be able and available to start work in San Francisco Area within 2 weeks of hire.
