Job Description Our Client in the biotechnology industry is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic for a temporary to permanent opportunity in the San Carlos, CA area. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance and HVAC work experience within an industrial/commercial environment. Responsibilities: · Monitor operation, adjust and maintain air conditioning equipment, chillers, cooling towers, chilled/condenser water systems, process water, exhaust systems, hot water heaters, VAV, pumps, valves, piping and filters, Air handler Units, other mechanical and electrical equipment. · Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all equipment including, but not limited to: heat exchanger, HVAC, hot water systems. · Maintain service documentation via Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP · Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them. · Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition and the compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. · Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. · Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs · Maintains a clean and safe work environment. · Act as a resource for all partners in equipment and service maintenance · Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed. Requirements: · High school diploma or GED required. · A minimum of 5 years of Mechanical Maintenance and HVAC related work experience. · Ability to work with computer based controls and experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System – Maximo) · Ability to complete GMP documentation and follow applicable standard operating procedures · Experience operating and maintaining hand tools and power equipment · Ability to read and understand technical material including operating manuals and standard engineering drawings is required. · Ability to work assigned shifts to provide adequate coverage, working off hours or call back in emergencies, work overtime to meet deadlines ,and support on-call coverage as assigned · Basic trouble-shooting, problem solving and training skills · Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds.
