The Team
The Spark for iOS team is primarily based out of a new office in the Mission Bay district of San Francisco. Spark is developed through continuous delivery using automated testing with every commit to ensure the stability of new features. Our backend is deployed daily and we ship to the App Store every two weeks. We have designed this fast:paced system to allow constant innovation by placing few gates on bringing features to our customers. As a team, we believe great ideas can come from anybody and encourage new ideas to be shared and status quo to be challenged.

The Product
The Spark team at Cisco Systems, Inc, San Francisco office is hiring full:time software engineers to work on our next generation collaboration platform. Cisco Spark (ciscospark) is a complete business collaboration service from the Cisco cloud that enables you to message, meet, or audio and video call, anywhere, and anytime. Enjoy 1:1 and group messaging in virtual rooms with persistent content and context for team interactions. Not only does this represent an innovative product for collaboration, but also the production of the product represents a new way to develop and release features continuously in order to effectively compete in the fast:moving world of cloud:based services.

The Job
The Spark team is looking for a senior software engineer for iOS to help achieve these goals and drive even faster innovation. This position requires a self:motivated individual with strong problem solving skills who can contribute in a dynamic team environment while writing commercial grade software for iOS. You will also work with designers, product managers and other engineers to improve the product on a daily basis, both crafting features and fixing bugs. As a result, solid communication skills and a passion for success are essential. You will be expected to take initiative and own the product from top to bottom : this means anything from owning a specific feature to looking for ways to improve the product as a whole. We believe that the team comes first; if we build a smart, supportive, motivated team, we will build an outstanding product for our customers.

: Strong computer science fundamentals with a degree bachelors degree or higher
: Ability to write clear and high:performance code in Swift and Objective:C
: Demonstrated experience designing, building and maintaining large:scale, high:performance iOS applications
: Passion for quality and a desire to build the best possible product
: Drive to explore unprompted and find solutions to problems we havent thought of yet
: Stay up to date on industry trends and bring new ideas
: Outstanding communication skills both technically and non:technically
: Interest in making product decisions driven by analytics
: Experience with real time media both on iOS and in general is a plus
: Please share any personally developed apps in the App Store
: 7+ years of experience
