Overview:
We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Solutions Architect with a strong focus in Networking. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide the technical presales support needed in developing the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Senior Solutions Architect is the technical lead on sales calls; this position facilitates interaction and collaboration between Systems Engineers and Account Executives for large accounts. The Senior Solutions Architect is expected to use independent discretion and is responsible for the design and validation of solutions and for providing guidance on best practices for implementation. This position is an office:based position; Senior Solutions Architects either work remotely from a home office or are assigned space at their local office. Travel may be required.
Note: FusionStorm Senior Solutions Architects associated with the Newark, CA facility may utilize available office space only and are not permitted access to the Integration Center (IC) or Warehouse, which are only accessible via designated passkeys.
Responsibilities:
:Provide pre:sales technical support for business opportunities.
:Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of customers current infrastructure and operations.
:Identify opportunities and develop technical solutions to meet customers needs and requirements.
:Review and validate all solutions to ensure compatibility and consistency with FusionStorm best practices.
:Participate in selection of networking technologies and products for implementation.
:Communicate the role and value of the solution to the organization and present the business case for technology investments.
:Assist the Sales and Professional Services Groups with requests for quotes, information, bids, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
:Support forecasting through entering and maintaining opportunities in the CRM tool.
:Assist with the definition, development, and administration of solution demonstrations.
:Evaluate new vendor technology offerings, provide recommendations, and go:to market plans for said technology.
:Participate in vendor training on existing and new products.
:Support local vendor relationships within the Region.
:Work in conjunction with other Solutions Architects and teams to create, maintain, and publish a set of written procedures and best practices for the delivery of pre: and post:sales engineering services to customers.
:Facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers, including conceptual design and white boarding sessions.
:Participate in weekly conference calls for the Solutions Architect team.
:Present technical briefings to Client Executives and Sr. IT Staff.
:Understand and abide by all security and operational polices.
Qualifications:
:Legally eligible to work in the United States.
:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
:Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors.
:Minimum of 5:7 years of experience in Presales Engineering or in selling system and solutions in the Channel model.
:Minimum of 7 years as an engineering consultant, outside systems engineer, or similar.
:Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact effectively with people from many different disciplines.
:Strong technical writing skills; able to create technical drawings for solution proposals.
:Demonstrated knowledge of network technologies through achievement of professional certifications.
:Able to architect networks that effectively meet business needs, service:level and availability requirements, and other technology considerations.
:Solid logic and problem:solving methods.
:Willing to develop and maintain skill set and product knowledge to maximize value and to deliver qua
