Your role at Sephora
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the solution design and delivery of applications in support of Sephoras Merchandising and Inventory Management systems. Reporting to the Director, IT Merchandising Systems, you will have responsibility for multiple domains in the Merchandising and Inventory Management space and will be key to driving the evolution of the legacy systems, by evaluating tools, improvements to processes as we decouple some of the legacy functions within Sephora systems and migrate to best of breed software solutions. In addition, you will:
:Help drive and conceptualize solution and design as we migrate from our legacy merchandising systems to best of breed retail software solutions
:Help guide the business and IT on architectural alternatives by clearly articulating the implications of each, short and long term, solution
:Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to analyze, understand, and document current:state and/or similar business process models and business requirements to support design, optimization, and documentation (mapping) of new processes to support business objectives
:Work on issues of the highest complexity and strategic value where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including a broad understanding of current business trends
:Utilize data:driven, fact:based analytics to formulate tactical, actionable solutions to business issues, identifying and managing risks and opportunities
:Use expert:level knowledge of technical design specifications and possibly lead technology peers to help develop solutions
:Provides tactical work direction to team members
:Be customer focused with high quality standards, must possess excellent presentation skills

Were excited about you if you have:
:8+ years of relevant work experience in IT, preferably in the retail industry
:Experience with a full lifecycle implementation of Oracle Retail/SAP Retail/JDA/TXT package at a retailer.
:Hands:on knowledge of current technology standards/trends coupled with a desire to continually expand personal knowledge/skills
:Domain knowledge of the Merchandising and Inventory Management functions and technologies and solutions relevant to this industry
:Expert:level knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology
:Demonstrated knowledge of all components of Iterative and Agile SDLC methodologies in the context of major systems implementations and especially on projects and initiatives of high complexity
:Ability to establish and maintain relationships with other business and technology leaders
:Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to tailor communication to all levels of an organization
:Demonstrated ability to debate ideas/strategy, comfortable managing constructive conflict, and not afraid to challenge the status quo
:Broad IT experience spanning infrastructure, applications, and security
:Open:minded with proven ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
