We are currently looking for a Superintendent for the California Market. One job is in San Jose, CA with several others coming up in that same area. Another project is in Trinidad, CA. Both of these are for large hotel projects.
Our client is a general contracting company focused in the Western United States region, with an emphasis on, but not limited to, commercial modular construction. For example, hotels, apartments, assisted living complexes, etc. As well as high end, custom residential in resort markets.

Position Qualifications:
:4 Year Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architectural related field and 6+ years as Commercial Superintendent or equivalent experience.
:Must have previous extensive field construction experience at supervisory level and a working knowledge of all crafts and the ability to read and understand plans and specifications for all trades
:Knowledge of OSHA laws, Extensive Knowledge of CPM Scheduling, Planning, Expediting, and Cost control.Good computer skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Project. Strong proficiency in using Project Management software. Ours is Procore.
:Strong knowledge of all building codes. Must be able to pass testing requirements for licensing.
:Must be able to assist in moving, lifting, carrying, storing, or transporting materials and equipment (must be able to lift at least 80 pound items).
:May require : stooping, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting of associated building materials.
Position Summary:
:Supervises and directs the entire construction field effort to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, quality, and schedule.
:The Superintendent should optimize the profitability and reputation of the company through field planning, efficiency, and hard work without jeopardizing the quality, safety, or completion of the project.
:The Superintendent utilizes problem solving abilities on a daily basis; coordinates with the Project Manager on all logistical aspects and communicates a strong sense of urgency for the project; documents daily project activities and meetings; must be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the general Prime contract and subcontracts in order to identify changes beyond the contractors or subcontractors scope of responsibility; and enforces safety procedures.
:Write thorough subcontracts and purchase orders with detailed scope of work using the approved Construction subcontract form.
