Department Overview The Business Development (BD) Department at PG&Eis a fun, entrepreneurial, customer-focused department responsible for developing and managing secondary uses of PG&E assets and expertise. Position Summary The Technical Project Manager, Expert will oversee energy efficiency constuction projects which require excellent project management skills, construction/engineeringdesign build experience, energy efficiency engineering, as well as experience in responding to RFPs and writing project proposals. They will be responsible for ensuring that projects are done safely, on time and to contractstandards. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * * BA/BS or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, or the appropriate technical discipline * Minimum of 8 years related experience inproject management in construction and/or professional energy or engineering services industries * High proficiency in MS Excel, Word and project management software * Ability to travel 85%-90% of the time Desired Qualifications * * An understanding of design build construction, energy efficiency, energy generation, energy storage, energy efficiency rebates and incentives program rules, energy related engineering, PG&E contractor safety requirements * Hospital and MUSH market energy construction experience * OSHA 30 or higher safety training Responsibilities 1. Project Management - 80% of Time * Respond to questions from customers regarding project construction schedule,cost and compliance. * Manage all aspects of projects of $5M-$30M design build construction projects involving installation of energy related measures * Acts as the primary customer contact for oversight and delivery of high risk project constructionprojects including project initiation, assembling multi-disciplinary project teams, defining scope, budget and resource needs and controlling project risks and variables. * Determine the scheduling of different phases of construction project based onestablished deadlines. * Manage ESCO strategic partners, vendors, contractors and other workers. * Monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes. Resolve problems that arise due to inclementweather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays. * Ensure compliance with PG&E's contractor safety standards and contract requirements * Manage safety, compliance, risk management and overall project performance including scope creep andchange orders * Actively involved in the day-to-day management of all aspects of a development project from award through construction, acceptance, and performance assurance: * Lead project calls and meetings with the customer and subcontractor * Act as the primary point of contact for customer questions * Oversee subcontractor's performance/deliverables and ensures QC for the project * Oversee subcontractor's implementation of PG&E's rigorous Contractor Safety Program, which requires thatsubcontractors submit a Project Safety Plan and daily work safety checklists, among other items. PG&E's project manager is OSHA 30 certified * Manage project schedule and budget * Manage the master plan of action and milestones throughout the project * Manage RFI development and issue resolution * Manage and processes all contract modifications * Coordinate badging, site access, and escorting in accordance with federal requirements * Oversee monthly subcontractor invoicing and paymentcoordination * Coordinate / process incentive applications and rebates * Oversee Substantial Completion and Final Acceptance protocols and paperwork * Ensure compliance with contract terms 2 . Sales Support - 20% Of Time * Work closely with sales, to develop new project opportunities and evaluate subcontractor responses to RFPs * Develop and deliver presentations on PG&E safety requirements to contractors and customersPosted by StartWire
