Responsible for all aspects of General Construction Department. Profitability, Organizing, Supervising, Marketing, Proposal Writing and Bidding Support as needed. Strategic planning and Critical Thinking at all times.
Must have Government or Federal Contract related experience, US Army COE:NAVFAC:DOD:FAA very helpful.
Qualifications: BS degree in Construction or Engineering related fields, First/Aid:CPR:QCM:OSHA 30:EM385 very helpful.
Position requires some travel as needed to provide Customer and Staff field support.

Pre Con Industries, Inc. (PCII) is a small, minority:owned business enterprise located in Santa Maria, California. The company was incorporated in 2000 in California and has been in business since 1990 when it first began as a partnership between two brothers. We provide general building construction, general engineering construction, construction management and design:build services. We have a subcontracting division Premier Drywall with in:house trades people to self:perform; metal framing, drywall, insulation, t:bar ceiling, and plaster works. In 2010, Pre Con began self:performing plumbing to further expand its in:house capabilities.
PCII was founded in 1990 with the specific goal of providing specialized metal framing and drywall construction services to private and government customers. And then in 2003 it evolved to providing general building and general engineering construction services as well as in:house design/build services to private and Federal Government agencies.
Our experience and the experience of the PCII management staff has been focused on different size and types of traditional design:bid:construct and design:build contracts over the past 8:years and in that time our staff has accomplished various task orders from different agency IDIQ type contracts. We presently hold or have held IDIQ contracts and have completed task orders in connection with each of the following agencies; (1) US Army Corps of Engineers: IDIQ POCA and MATOC; (2) US Navy ROICC: IDIQ JOC and BOA, (3) California Army National Guard: MATOC; (4) US Coast Guard: BOA and RMACC; and (5) General Services Administration: IDIQ MATOC. Also in October 2012, PCII was awarded an IDIQ JOC from Cal Poly State University San Luis Obispo.
Project, Design, Construction and Construction Management
The PCIIs project management experience includes new building construction, additions, demolition, renovation, modernization, and remediation projects alike. We have a full understanding of the design and construction process and as such can provide a valuable link between the design and construction teams of a particular project. Successful completion of similar contracts encompassing these services demonstrates our ability to continue to meet and exceed the contract requirements.
Our experience covers a wide range of project types on behalf of both private and government customers. These include but may not be limited to; tenant improvements, office conversions, produce cooling facilities, medical clinic and hospital, wastewater treatment plants, warehouse conversions, seismic upgrades, range control facilities, high voltage electrical renovations, and utility modernizations to name a few.
Design/Build Projects : As previously stated, the PCII has been performing on design/build and work/plan projects for private and government agencies. The following are some examples of our experience whereby we as prime contract holder were responsible for coordinating the design team members, providing onsite management, supervision, and contract administration during the subsequent construction phase: Of the total volume completed to:date (72M) our firm has completed approximately 44 (32M) under a design:build and/or work:plan type contract.
