Humanities West presents Is Piracy the Second Oldest Profession?--A special presentation plunging into the fascinating history of piracy on the high seas with lectures, discussions, and music. From privateers to buccaneers, the legacy of piracy has fascinated generations, immortalized and sometimes romanticized in literature, art, music and film. Speakers are Ian Morris (Stanford), Tyler Stovall (Berkeley), and Andrew Jameson (USC). Musical performance by Skip Henderson and the Starboard Watch.
